What are my rights still as a parent of a seventeen year old?

i live in texas

Vincent I don't agree. It depends on what state the parent and 17 year old lives in. Example, in the state of MO a parent has no rights to their 17 year Olds. Yet the parents are still responsible if their 17 year old run up any bills. The parents have to pay them all. It's just the way their laws are when it comes to their 17 year Olds.

You as a parent still have the right to care and control. Not only are you emotionally and financially responsible for your child, but also have control over many aspects of his or her life. You are also responsible for your child's medical treatment, punishment and emancipation.

THEY DON'T CHANGE UNTIL THEY TURN 18 AND EVEN THEN IF THEY ARE 18 AND STILL LIVING WITH YOU THEY STILL HAVE TO RESPECT AND OBEY YOUR HOUSE RULES IF YOU HAVE ANY LIKE I DO ^.^ But enforce your rules
