Take piece of cows liver and slam it down to the ground from ten feet up. That is what your insides can look like if you don't land on your feet. The difference would be that they would be bleeding internally and you would likely look ok on the outside. You might be lucky and not break a bone but unlucky and tear blood vessels. But it's your body. It ain't the fall that will kill ya, it's the landing.
I tried this when I was in high school. I was tempted to jump off a garage less than 10 feet. I saw a professional roofer jump off a house over 10 feet and landed on one knee. If you didn't do it yet, don't. I repeat "don't" because if you do it, you might not be able to run for at least 5-10 years like me. See I tried it and now I'm paying for it. No more load bearing activity for the rest of my life. Yes I may be able to swim, but no more soccer for me buddy. My friend did it but I can't ask him because he died from brain damage.
