How to get rid of a virus on my computer with windows 7 for free

You need to download the recommended anti-virus, for example the avast home free edition. Once installed, restart your computer in a safe mode by tapping by tapping F8 on a start-up and selecting safe mode. Run a scan with all three programs and your problem should be fixed.

Does it matter what kind of virus it is? And does it completely remove that virus?
