Why do bees have stingers?

Report as

Bees have stingers to protect themselves. It is an adaptation. If they feel threatened by someone or something, they will sting them, even if it means they die in the process. Bees usually have a very short life span because of this. Stingers are very important to them. Go to this website for more information : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bee
