How much should I feed my baby leopard gecko?

I got a baby leopard gecko, about 3 or 4 months old, a week ago. I've been feeding it about 5 small crickets a day (no wider than its head) and every now and then a small mealworm or two. Wondering if I am overfeeding or underfeeding it? Any leopard gecko owners out there?

Hi! I've had a leopard gecko for sometime. I think your feeding it about the right amount! Just remember that while mealworms are easier and more effecient, crickets do contian more protein for the geckos. :) good luck!

Thanks! Also how often should I handle the baby leo? I want him to be able to get used to me and easy to pick up and handle.

Honestly, you should hold him as much as possible! It's good to get them used to being handled when they are young so they're not aggressive when they're older. But it's not a good idea to handle him when he's eating. You don't want to associate your hand with catching crickets:)

The average amount to feed a baby gecko is between 5 and 10. In this case, you are feeding it right and you should continue. You can increase the number of crickets as the gecko grows.
