Why do dogs pant?

Im am just seeing how many people really know the answer

Report as

Dogs pant in order to regulate their body temperatures because they have fewer sweat glands as compared to humans. By panting, dogs are able to cool the mouth and tongue, together with blood which is circulated through the head, hence keeping body temperature at a normal level.

That's how dogs sweat, thus releasing heat and cooling off.
