What does it mean when you have sharp pain along top of stomach and extremely gassy?

Over the past four days, i've had this sharp pain along the top of my stomach(along the top 2 muscles on my stomach) that is not a consistent pain. It comes and goes through out the day, and really flares up when either i'm not sitting up perfectly straight, or sudden up and down movements(jumping down from a trailer to the ground). Also, when i'm laying down, if my torso twists as i roll over, it hurts. It also kicks up if i lay on my stomach when i'm sleeping, it actually wakes me up. Most times i can ease it a little if i take in a slow deep breath, but as i let it out, it aches a little. I've also been extreamly gassy as well, both burping and flatuanche, though it's been slowly going away over the past few days. Any idea what this could be?

Try Mylanta you may have an ulcer if this helps that is good but see a Dr to see what type of ulcer also have your Gallbladder checked I have seen people in extreme pain from an attack that either feels like appendicitis or stomach problems Make an appointment.

Sounds to me like it could be could be your gallbladder. Definitely get to your doctor and get tested if the pain and gas persist.

It means you need to see a doctor if it persists for more than a day or two.

You probably just have a stomach flu. It's going around. Give it another day or two but if you still have it Monday then go to the doctor for sure.

It could also be kidney stones though. I would at least call your doctor and ask to speak to the advice nurse. They will probably want to see you though. It is so hard to know what to do. A doctor is best and I am no doctor.

I had similar symptoms and it was my gallbladder infected. Definitely go to a doctor.
