The sun's rays hit the Earth's atmosphere, where the light is scattered by nitrogen and oxygen molecules in the air. The blue wavelength of this light is affected more than the red and green wavelengths, causing the surrounding air to appear blue.
the sky is blue coz the atmosphere contains thousands of minute particle which are smaller than the wavelength of visible light. these minute particle is more effective in scattering light at blue end rather than any color
the sky being blue is the gasses in the atmosphere reacting with each other and refracting the light in such a way that the human eye sees them visibly as the color blue... its the same concept as a rainbow it rains... theres droplets left in the air the light refracts off them
Blue colour of sky : When white light passes through the earth's atmosphere, scattering of different colours takes place due to interaction of light with very small molecules of atmosphere. As the wavelenth of blue colour is much smaller(1.8times) than that of red colour, so the blue colour of light scatters more than that of red colour. Hence the sky appears blue. So the blue colour of sky is due to scattering of light of shorter wavelength(blue colour) by the air molecules.
When light hits our atmosphere it refracts off all the atoms in the atmosphere making it look that colure and btw you asked why grass was green its green becuase green is the weakist colour in the order of colours so the closer to the sun you are the more green plants youll see like blue is the strongest colour so if you go deep deep in the ocean were only strong rays of light can make it you will see blue plants only while on land they dislike green light so it just reflects off that plant overall the colour you see a plant is the colour they dislike so grass is green becuase they do not like the colour green red algie is red becuase they dont like the colour green ^^ hope this helpd guys.
well it really aint blue it is black its how the sun reflex off of your eyes and it turns it that way and really the world is only black and white its just how the like reflex off of you eyes and the different shades of white
Clear sky, dust free and moisture free, appears blue in colour when observed in the sun light scattered by the air molecules in the atmosphere. According to Rayleigh's law,in the scattered sunlight, the intensity of the shorter wavelength region , i.e.,violet, indigo and blue is much greater than the larger wavelength region,i.e., red , orange and yellow.Since the blue colour is the most predominant colour in the shorter wavelength region, the sky appears to be blue in colour when observed in the scattered light.
