I dropped my phone in the toilet! What should i do?!?

I was putting on my makeup when i knocked it off the sink and into the toilet (where i left the lid up). I think it hit the side before the water because the battery was out of it and the back was sitting on the seat. I patted it dry and have not put the battery back in. It is now in a container of rice. It is a Verizon Samsung Intensity first generation. It has never encountered more than a drop or two of water prior.

Flush and ask Daddy to buy you a new one.

But seriously, take it apart the(take the battery out)
Blow dry the pieces a little and then set it on a table and let it sit for a day or two. It you have water under the screen, it should go away after a couple days. Hopefully the phone still works.

I've done this before, it worked, but some of the buttons were damaged by the water and I ended up having to get a new phone after two weeks. Hopefully your phone was not in the water that long...

The best thing to do is take the battery out and let it dry for awhile. When its done drying put it back in and turn your phone on.

The only thing you can do is rice, and that only works half the time even if it does dry up you'll have tons of problem with it. If you have insurance you should be fine, just pay the money for a new one

Cellphones can't swim. If they can get a man on the moon, why can't they invent a toilet-proof phone? I think you need a new one.

Verizon did invent one. That heavy duty flip they put out was cool. My friends that had one dropped it in bucket of water pulled it out and shook it off and them dialed a number.

I should have said iPhone, Thanks for the info. I am super aware of the cellphones "attraction" to the toilet, so I am very careful.

Take it apart. Put it in some rice. Let it sit over night. If it's not better when you put it back together in the morning, Send it to us! www.allmobilematters.com We fix water damaged phones all the time.

i've done this a lot of times, i mean battery in water,
though your battery can look dry after some time, it is better to dry it up in sunlight on a hot surface for hours, before using it again.
