What's a good theme for To Kill A Mockingbird?

I have to write an essay about this and I need an idea. I want something kinda original. I don't want walking in someones footsteps a lot of people are doing that.

The difference between the type of Poverty the Cunninghams live with and the type the Ewells live with. One family has good mannered povertized life and the other family has no manners.

In my opinion, a good theme for To Kill a Mockingbird is 'prejudice'. This is because, it is highly shown by Atticus who believes in treating and respecting everyone as an individual. It will therefore avoid treating people as groups as shown in the book.

That means like racism right? Can you explain a little more?
Report as
Yes racism, but also, being poor is not a reason for society to treat people with disrespect either..
Atticus was white who took on a case to defend a black man because he believed in him and respected all faiths
Atticus was also the type person who respected the poor as shown when a neighbor could not pay Atticus money, so he gave Atticus veggies from his garden as payment.
Atticus's daughter couldn;t understand why the man did that..She thought it was strange but Atticus taught her that the man had much pride and respect for favors done for him and this was the only way he could say thanks. Atticus made the man feel good about his kindness to Atticus..Hard to explain this here lo l!Hope you understand this..A wonderful book..all about love, respect, trust and friendship..
