In Fallout 3 what permanent companions do you need good karma for and where can I find them?

Star Paladin Cross and Fawkes; Cross can be found at the citadel in the same room with liberty prime(forgot the name) and Fawkes is a optional companion after a certain point in the story line (vault 87). Personally i recommend Fawkes because he has a gatling laser and a RIDICULOUS amount of health. Hope this helped :)
