I really love my 2009 Ford Fusion. It gets 37 MPG and is quite roomy and sharp looking. They are hard to find now because they were Consumer Digests car of the year in 2009 and in 2010 they were Consumer Digests best used car of the year. Two different Ford dealers have telephoned me recently and offered to give me what I paid for it as a trade in on a new one but I won't part with it. It hasn't had a single recall and I love it very much. One of the best cars I have ever owned and I have owned a bunch! But there are good car reviews on edmunds.com and if you are looking at used cars then you should always insist on seeing the CARFAX report BEFORE you sign anything. You are pretty safe with brand new ones though. I highly recommend you seriously consider the Fords. Consumer Digest named the new Ford Focus as the car of the year. It gets 40 MPG and is really sharp and very affordable. It is also full of features.

Honda's have good vehicles for everyday running around-great mileage and they run forever. My uncle has 400,000 km on his Civic and it's running like the day he bought it. I have 350,000 km on my Honda Pilot and still running perfect!! Low to no maintenance either on both vehicles :) May not be the most fancy, but they last with low cost!

I agree on the Honda brand! My 1997 Honda CRV has over 260,000 miles on it and is still in excellent condition. Several if my family members have had Accords and Civics as well and they last forever. They are reliable too.

Stay away from Kia and Hyundai. Definitely check Consumer Reports before you decide on a particular make and model. Think about features that are important to you. How much room will you need? How concerned are you with safety ratings? Is your family going to grow in the next few years? Will you need to be able to pull a trailer at times? Depending on where you live, you might want to consider 4 wheel drive. Have fun shopping!

Yeah my Acura rsx which is a Honda has 400000 kms on it. If I were you id stick to a 4 cyl. I really like the Audi a4 quarto they use to come in 4 cyl turbo. I'm not sure about now. I also like the Subaru wrx. Another 4 cyl turbo. The are good on fuel and the turbos still have some jam

I just bought a car myself. I would say start your research online. find out what gas mileage ur looking for, size of car, & price. Look up reviews test drive all your choices!! And pick the one u feel best about! Also make sure your getting a low interest rate! I just got a Honda crv and loooove it!!
