One quick remedy for a sore throat is gargling with warm salt water. This helps to reduce swelling and to relieve discomfort in your throat. Another way is by taking hot fluids like tea or soup to decrease the irritation. You can also try ibuprofen to reduce anti-inflammatory on your throat.
The best method I know of is to gargle 3 or 4 times a day with warm salt water. If it doesn't taste bad, it's not salty enough. It kills the germs in your throat in no time. Just be sure to not swallow it.
