Can dogs get lice?

Thankfully, head lice are species-specific, which means they can only infest human heads. This species of lice need human blood to survive. Likewise, dog and cat lice cannot live on humans. Read more from vetmedicine.about.com/od/parasites/f/lice.htm.

yes dogs can get lice but its different from the lice we get
