great question ! i dont have the answer. i too would love to have that one answered.it must have something to do with evolution/habitate temperature...to insure offspring survival.
usually,with reproduction,when times are good ( plenty of food,good climate ) more often than not , more females are born.evolution at its best, because the food source is there to support the extra offspring that will result.
