What are some of the signs you get a few days before you get your first period?

I'm 13 and have not "started" yet. I have had breast development, discharge and pubic hair for a little over 2 1/2 years. I have had some symptoms that my mom says I'm going to start my period. What are some symptoms?

It takes between two to two and a half years after breasts start developing for a girl's first period to start. Some changes you might experience just before are; fatigue, a rusty discharge, lower back pain, pain below the tummy. These do not necessarily come on an exact date before your periods but are clear indicators that it will occur very soon. Yours may come either sooner or later and the delay doesn't need to worry you.

My boob usually get really sore and I tend to eat alot too lol

I scream at anybody that looks at me funny. Sometimes they don't even have to do That. They could just be present and I'll start yelling at them. I tend to isolate myself the moment I realize this is happening to avoid hurting someone lol. I also eat a lot, and I get stomach sickness. They're not exactly cramps. I just feel like I'm going to vomit.

lower back ake, feeling sick, craving of a particular food, sore boobs/nipples, being moody for no reason. some times it can take up to two years for you to get a regular menstrual cycle, you may find the first couple of periods will only be discharge.

Discharge is usually the last sign before starting your period. I'm sure you will start soon so be sure to carry pads or tampons with you & maybe even a change of underwear. We don't worry about not having started until the age of 16.
