Probably nothing serious if you're young. It takes up to 2 years for periods to regulate. A lot of girls need birth control to help with this. One large reason young girls miss periods is due to a lot of exercise, don't stop exercising though. If you miss another one you could visit gyn. BTW good for you for waiting to have sex, imagine what you would feel like right now if you hadn't. Good luck!
I don't know your age or what your usual schedule is, but it's not uncommon to be occasionally late or early due to various reasons - such as an abrupt change in nutrition (your diet) - a sudden switch in climate, or a temporary hormonal imbalance - especially if your young. It's very possible that your period will return to what's normal for you within a couple of months or so. If not - it might be a good idea to have it checked out.
Could be poly cystic ovarian syndrome. One of the major symptoms is irregular period. You also get hairy in not so typical places. It's caused by a hormonal balance (girls having too much testosterone or too low estrogen). The best way to treat it is to go on birth control and have a healthy diet. I have it. You may want to look into it. It's a lot more common now a days
I'm 29 and if I get really stressed I will skip mine sometimes. If you are young like teens your body is still getting use to getting your period first time I got mine I had it for 3 months straight from my hormones being out of wack I was 17 when I started bottom line won't hurt to go to a Gynocoligist they may put you on the pill to even out your cycle even if you are still a virgin
