I've looked at them for my mother-in-law. They are a bit expensive, approx. $4000. However, a broken hip from someone falling while getting in or out of a wet tub will cost a whole lot more! They are easy to get in and out of as they have handles to hold onto. Plus since the person doesn't need to raise and lower themselves they aren't at an awkward positions trying to hold on. If you can afford it I say go for it!.
It's a must for some seniors that just can't access a conventional tub any longer due to disabilities. A walk in tub allows them to access it without much effort, and allow them some sense of independence, and the ability to bath again.
Panasyuk123 is correct in saying they are not cheap. Several thousand for the tub, and perhaps as much for installation.
I would love it if my in laws would get their bathroom updated with one. I think it could help them stay in their home longer as they age. They would need other modifications too but that's a big help if they can bath safely.

It's nice it's cool and good for her as long as she doesn't put the water on too hot she'll probably reward you and the most caring, living and most kind son for letting her take a bath and asking people on ask about the benefit's about walking into a bath tub and other nice things you've probably done for her in the pass and god bless you man!
