Multiply the sub-total ($60.75) by the tax ($0.05). This comes to $3.0375, or $3.04. So her total bill is $63.79.

It will be after tax = [$60.75 + ($60.75 x 0.05)] = [$60.75 + $3.0375] = $63.7875

$3.038 will be the amount of tax deducted from $60.75 if the tax is at 0.05. This is done by multiplying the tax (0.05) by the total amount (60.75). This will give you the amount of the tax to be deducted from the total amount.
