Hi SamanthaGray101, a caplet is a solid pill in a oval shape.. a tablet is a solid pill usually in a round shape though they can also be square or triangular... a capsule is made from cellulose and is generally in two parts (though they are often fused after they are filled) these are filled with the medication/vitamin etc. Capsules are usually used for quick release as they dissolve quickly and release a quicker dissolving form of the medication than a tablet or caplet would be.
The difference between tablet, capsule and caplet is that the tablet is a pill that is in solid form made for medication. When the tablet is pressed between two hard surfaces, it crashes to powder form. The capsule is a smooth coated oval-shaped medicine tablet while the caplet is a trendy marketing name for a tablet shaped like a capsule.
