I didn't see it in the guide. Which area is it in?

It's under the "some don'ts" section,specifically the one about not posting "anything conversational".

"...Some Don'ts: Post poor content. The better your question is, the better the whole site will be! Please refrain from posting "forum" conversation such as:

* Relationship advice: We welcome questions such as "What is the best way to propose to your girlfriend?" however we do not allow "How do I get this boy to like me?"

* Survey/poll questions

* Yes or no questions

* Statements that are not questions (it's hard to answer something that it not a question!)

* Anything conversational

* Vulgar or adult content: Sexual health questions are welcome, XXX is not."

This site is to help people, not to ask how they are doing. It was a pointless question and they removed it. This isn't a chat site. It's designed to help people solve problems. I suggest you read the Community Guidelines again.
