One of the most unique signs of a rabies infection is a tingling or twitching sensation around the area of the animal bite. Some other symptoms include Increased Production of Saliva, irritability, nausea and weakness. If you suspect or see some of the symptoms I would suggest that you take your child to the hospital immediately.
By the time a human displays sign of the disease sadly it is too late for treatment. Rabies is a fatal disease. It can be prevented with a series of injections but this needs to be done as soon after exposure as possible. I certainly hope your child does not have rabies as this would be gross neglect by his parent.
