If you get married and dont belive in god do you stiill get a priest?

and do they read the stuff from that holy book? just wondering!

If you don't believe in God you would not need a priest. Marriages from the church are blessed. It would not mean anything. People who don't believe in God just need a Justice of Peace just to satisfy the laws of the state.

you don't have to have a religious ceremony if you don't want to....and alot of people write their own vows too

The catholic church won't marry you without you taking the classes, at least it used to be that way. Goto Vegas, many nice chapels that will help you, some even have Elvis as the pastor.

This dilemma precisely is why I'm opening up a wedding chapel. (Yes, it has the word "chapel" in it LOL) I may be an ordained Minister, however, I completely respect the right to choose. I have already conducted numerous non religious ceremonies. (all at no charge, so I'm not in it for the $!) :)
