How to attract a wild rabbit? HELP

we have a hole in our backyard with 4 baby bunnies in it. this morning I showed my brother the hole so he could be careful in the yard and he didn't see any so he shoved his hand in it and accendentally touched one. I saw the mom like 10 feet away but didn't see her since. I want her to come back and feed her babies but I don't know if she has come back yet. what should we do? is there a way to bring her back?

Rabbits only feed their young twice a day, very early in the morning and after dark. Mama will come back, even though you don't see her.

Also, it's mostly fiction that a rabbit will smell a human on their babies and reject them. A rabbits sense of smell is pretty poor, and she may not even be able to detect that you were there.

Leave them alone. Taking care of wild rabbit babies is nearly impossible, and you'll end up with dead bunnies.

If it makes you feel better, you can take two pieces of thread and make an "x" over the hole with them. Check in the morning, and you'll most likely find that the "x" is not as you left it. That means mama has been by and is taking care of babies.

The best way to entice rabbits is to create a friendly environment; you can do this by including aspects of their natural habitat in your yard like woody and shrubby areas. You can also easily add a brush pile or plant more shrubs if necessary. Visit http://www.wildaboutgardening.org/en/gab/section4_faqs/attracting__wildanimals/index.htm for more details.

You broke the forbidden rule with wild animals... Never touch their babies. Most mammals rely on senses other than sight. Smell being the most evident. If a mother returns to a nest and senses the smell of a human in almost all cases the mother will abandon the litter, never to return. ;(
