You can find a dog that is very friendly and can live in hot weather at www.petswelcome.com. Greyhound is the most common breed that is known to be gentle and live in warm conditions. It was primarily bred for coursing games and racing.

Hi, I reside in Texas which is mainly hot, and I have an English Bulldog and a Wheaten Terrier, both medium in size, supper cool personalities and love it hot.

A brachycephalic dog (a dog with a smushed in nose such as a pug) would not be a good idea for hot weather as they are sensitive to higher temperatures. A good, friendly dog that would not get overwhelmed by a hot weather condition is a Labrador Retriever or Bichon Frise - both are very friendly dogs.

if you want a cute puppy, that can be mean if you train it to be, most are very calm once it gets through its puppy age, look for a English Springer Spaniel, my profile pic has my new one if you want to know what a pup looks like, and they love to lay in the sun, they are hunting dogs too!
