How to convince your parents to let you play soccer with a broken wrist?

So yesterday (playing soccer!) i broke my wrist and i have a short hard cast on now. BUT, i have a huge soccer tryout tonite. i have wanted to tryout for this team for a while. My parents wont let me go to it though!! I know my health comes first, but this means so much to me. What should i say or do? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well do you honestly need a wrist for soccer? Anyway, your parents may be concerned if you fall down. Well at soccer tryouts, YOU WON'T! You'll do your best! DUH.

I don't think that it is a good idea to ask your parents for permission to play soccer with a broken wrist. The best thing to do is to get treatment for the broken wrist before you get into the field to play. This will also increase your performance in the field as opposed to playing with a broken wrist.

Promise them you won't be goally and explain to them that soccer doesn't use hands.

I hope that you have a speedy recovery. It would be dangerous to get involved in any aggressive sport as long as you have the cast on. First, you can accidentally whack someone in the face and watch in horror as teeth start dropping out of the poor victims mouth. Then, you could do irreversable damage to your wrist since it is just beginning to heal. This must hurt you a lot, but there will be other tryouts. Your parents are right. Good luck
