Carmelray. I would say it depends on the severity of the depression. A military academy is tough under any circumstances. If the depression is such that it interferes with daily life, the added stress of a military environment may be overwhelming. It ultimately comes down to how much that person wants to go because that is all that matters.

In my view, I think Lincoln's Challenge is the best place for a depressed girl. This program will help her learn life skills like how to deal with anger, depression and grief in a good way. The program will also help her improve in her academics and become more responsible.

I think you should treat the deppression first, it left untreated deppression usually becomes worst. People don't want to be depressed, it's not something they can get pop right out of. Fix this first, then move on to the next challenge in life.
