Bobby walks in the room and says hello every one and sits down at the table with Betty and pulls out his bible then opens it to the minor prophet ((Jonah4:1-11)) verse 4=Then said the Lord, Doest thou well to be angry? If you read the whole chapter you will see that Jonah was angry at God because he wanted him to destroy the people of Nin'eveh but as we can plainly see the Lord is patient merciful and slow to anger. Yes we may get angry with God but his kindness and patients with us will gently teach us that his way is the best way. He forgave Nineveh and he was long-suffering with his angry prophet and even forgave him. Such a loving father he is to me, you and the whole world if they embrace him, he's full of mercy and compassion and shows it toward us all, even you to Betty. :0)smiling
Yes you can, in my opinion. The bible states be angry and sin not. Also look at the last words of Jesus as he died on the cross, "father why has thou forsaken me"? I think he was angry. many examples of anger. Jesus in the temple is another one
Being angry and questioning God does not negate salvation. You need to take this to Him and wrestle it out and lay it down. Ask Him to help you with your anger and unbelief and let it go. You need to remember that whatever you might be angry about is not from God. Things that try us are from the world and the result of the evil and sin in this world. This won't be a one time process and He wants you to come to Him with everything.
Yes. It is sometimes natural to be angry with God at times, when our world is down. We often wonder if He's really there with us, if He's really guiding us through hard times in life. He is. He can take your anger. But at the same time, we must come to Him in our prayers, and He will offer peace and guidance. If strong anger turns into hate and desire to hurt others, it is sinful. If this anger hardens and turns into hate for God, it is mortally sinful, and we must confess. God will offer His love and peace, and then there will be no need to be angry at Him anymore.
Absolutely. I believe the things of utmost importance in your relationship to God is humility and honesty. When you're angry with him, admit it. He knows what's in your heart to begin with so you're not going to shock or surprise him. Admitting it is the first step to working your attitudes around to where they should be.
Sure. Its a human emotion. God understands. He'll still love you and even listen if you want to tell him why (He already knows but likes when we bring our problems to Him, even if its about Him). He may even help you umderstand better the circumstances that made you angry at him.
I have to agree with ravenvan, in order to be mad at god you'd have to believe in him. As an atheist I get asked all the time "what did god do to make you not believe anymore", it's simple, he did nothing to me, since he does not exist how can he affect me?
You don't loose your salvation. Can we trust God with everything, our very lives and the lives of our loved ones? Of course we can! Our God is compassionate, full of grace and love, and as disciples of Christ we can trust Him with all things. When tragedies happen to us, we know God can use them to bring us closer to Him and to strengthen our faith, bringing us to maturity and completeness (Psalm 34:18; James 1:2-4). It is wrong to be angry at God. Anger at God is a result of an inability or unwillingness to trust God even when we do not understand what He is doing. Anger at God is essentially telling God that He has done something wrong, which He never does. Does God understand when we are angry, frustrated, or disappointed with Him? Yes, He knows our hearts and He knows how difficult and painful life in this world can be. Does that make it right to be angry with God? Absolutely not. Instead of being angry with God, we should pour out our hearts to God in prayer and then trust that He is in control and that His plan is perfect. http://www.gotquestions.org/angry-with-God.html
Yes we can get angry with God.God is our heavenly Father. Like children when our parents correct us, we get angry. When they have to punish us for something we've done, we get angry. It is the same, we get angry usually because it is for our good, but we don't see the reason or understand when they tell us what we can't have, it's again for our good. You can get angry but we cannot curse Him. When God tells me to WAIT oh my it is like a four letter word. I hate it only because"I" want what I want when I want it. It took me a long time to understand now I know God's way is always the best way because God knows what's best. There used be a tv show titled Father knows best" I think of God like that, He knows best , I might get angry but I know I still love Him. And soon I will understand it in God's timing
