First of all, you will have to acquaint yourself with the different styles that are used in writing resumes. Depending on which style you choose, you can proceed to listing your personal details like name and DOB, the list your experience, education, skills, and objectives. Check out www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Resume for more details.

government, employment services and the state say do not list your age to avoid age discrimination. ever wonder why some people never get called? the companies are looking at age, sometimes. they also recommend to NOT list the years of your education. just a hint.

ok- i'm old school at this but here goes. you start with your name and address and phone number as a header centered. then usually but not always, a solid line under that. state:"career objective" something to the effect of "seeking a challenging career in...using my education, experience, abilities, etc., to the betterment of the company. next your "previous work experience"names of companies and dates you worked there.with emphasis on that which will be of benefit to their company. don't lie or embellish b/c they will call them. next list "education" high school, college, tech school etc.,do not put those dates b/c the government determine that companies will discriminate based on age bc they can figure it out by high school grad year. if you have any schooling which relates to their business here is the place to highlight it. end with the statement of professional and personal references available upon request. and when having your interview even if you think you bombed remember to thank them for their time and shake hands. more on line with what you were looking for?

How to write a resume is taught in several of your classes, so all you have to do is go to class, listen, take notes, do the work.

List your education history.
List your work experiences.
List qualities like: can type 30 words per minute, can lift up to 30 lbs, can work with other people, have social skills.
