To make boiled eggs, submerge the eggs in cold water and bring them to the boiling stage on the stove top. Remove the pot and cover it with a lid. Allow the eggs to sit in the hot water for a time determined by the size of the egg and if you want soft or hard boiled eggs. Hard boiled extra-large eggs should sit for 19 minutes in the hot water.
