Why do i always feel nervous for no reason?

at random times i will become very nervous and feel like i have butterflies in my stomach, what is the cause?

"what IS the cause?" You know there's a single reason for that.

Butterflies sound romance and plural form mean you love more than 1 person. Your choice of icon show you like colorful, chaotic crash object.

You want drama and love in your life, and at the same time the guilty of that thinking make you nervous.

yes, i like to "read" people and people in general like to be read. so it's win-win.

Anxiety, maybe see a therapist to figure out why you have it. They may give medicine to help(:

Anxiety attacks or panic attacks. They are one and the same. I empathize as a fellow sufferer. I use biofeedback that involves deep breathing and relaxation. It helps but I have to work very hard to concentrate and not allow the anxiety to win. I hope for you that your problem is only temporary. Good luck.

You may have anxiety issues. These can make you very uncomfortable in certain situations that other people have no problem with. Talk to your doctor. He may have some suggestions or want you to talk to a therapist who can help. There are drugs for some anxiety problems too, but I would try other solutions first.

You may also have a phobia (unreasonable fear) about something and you haven't pinpointed it yet. Does your anxiety happen regularly when you do certain things or are at certain locations?

And last, but not least on Ask.com - hormones. I don't know your age, but if you're a teen, then new hormones are starting to wash through your system and play havoc with all of your emotions. It's just part of growing up. Not the most pleasant part, but most of us survive it.

Anxiety
I have it and my doctor told me to try imagining making a pizza or ice cream cone or a taco to keep my mind off the anxiety and to relax. If ur doing a pizza start with the crust then what u do next and then next focus on the 5 senses of what it would be like if u were really making a pizza and when ur done making it you will be calmer. It helps with me a lot. Ive tried deep breathing an relaxing but it doesn't work for me but may work for you

Are you otherwise living a reasonably healthy lifestyle? Honestly?

Do yourself a favor: Go get 20 minute worth of exercise, twice a day - nothing more than a brisk walk, say - and then tell me if you got the same symptoms. I bet no.

On another day I might ask about "foo", but I'll save ourselves the trouble, take it as an insult, move on, and hit the block button. my apologies for participating in your question, foo.

You're probably just having panic attacks, happens to me to just relax think about something relaxing(ring in the beach for example) close your eyes and take slow deep breaths...that's what helps me!

if you didn't used to have anxiety issues and you're now experiencing it for no reason at all....i.e. there's nothing you'd normally feel nervous about...consider that food may be the cause. I thought I was going crazy until I discovered dairy makes me nervous. You can read my strange story here... http://dairymakesmenervous.wordpress.com/
