How do you become a cop?

It's sad some people have to answer in such a negative way
You can go on line and apply
But most states require college so if you haven't already get your education look what requirements they need all states are not all the same! Make sure you are in good health make sure you can run at least 2 miles because if you can't pass the running then you won't be able to go through the rest you are given a written test so be prepared for that test they will talk to you so be prepare for the oral and back ground test! It took me two-times to pass all this then in the first year I was shot by an illegal alien and had to quite not mad but be aware of everything

Criminal justice classes in college (3-6 yrs) then go and start in the field

Uh no lol I'm going to be a police office lmao u have to go to college and sign up to the police academy nearest u and u will go through that they either offer 600 hour course or 1000 hour course and I'd recommend the 1000hour course u will get more certifications and it more time to train then after u pass that u will take a post test to be able to be a cop THEN u go in and see if they are hiring lol I have already been through the academy I am only waiting to turn 21

Go to a police academy at a college, usually at a jc, get a certificate. Have a clean record, little to no drug history(unless you can beat a polygraph) and try your best to find a department that is hiring. Kind of rough out there at the moment, bad economy means no jobs for civil servants.
