What is pond mud?

Pond mud is the bottom part of a pond which is usually made of mud. This is because many aquatic insects, crayfish, leeches and other creatures mostly dwell at the bottom. Turtles and frogs also bury themselves in the bottom to hibernate during winter.

A Mud pond is a pound full of mud in the bottom of the lake.
