How can I make my friend feel secure about having a relationship?

I like my friend but he appears to feel insecure about us being together. I try to give him hints but he does not react at all, unless he does not have any feelings for me.

It is not possible to make you your friend feel secure about having a relationship. This is because, you cannot force someone to be in something that they are not sure of. However, you can create a friendship bond to strengthen the nature of your current relationship.

Maybe hang out and spend time together just as friends and give it time to see where it goes. Sometimes hanging out being friends can lead to a relationship, still talk with him about why he feels that way and help him work on that
