There is no such thing as L7, there is a C7 or T7 and lumbar only goes up to Lumbar 5. As an orthopedic surgeon, it depends on how bad the fracture is. Is there wedging of the vertebrae? ARe there neurological symptoms? How much loss of vertebral height is there? Is there pressure on the spinal cord? A vertebroplasty is not indicated for the lower lumbar vertebraes...mostly thoracici to upper lumbar. Most treatment is nonsurgical...but there needs to be more information. This includes narcotics, antiinflammatories, injections, bracing , gentle physical therapy.
