A very unhappy person sometime in the VERY VERY VERY early days of earth.... That sounds deep but ya know :) some person must have hated life and loved power and became evil. Or something like that.

Satan, and humanity..

Helpful (3) Fun Thanks for voting Comments (6)
Report as
Close. It's Satan's fault... Evil was never IN humanity for evil to "come from it". Adam and Eve simply made a faulty decision that Satan convinced them to make.
Report as
Oddplatano
Well i mean yea Satan brought evil into the world, but Adam was the one that ate the fruit.. Therefore he shares some of the fault.. Alot of the fault in fact.
Report as
Satan can tempt us, but we have our free agency. When we make bad choices, it's our fault. God gives us power and protection from the evil one. Satan only has as much power as we give him.

According to the word, god made all things for his pleasure, so where u think all things came from, good & evil ?

Helpful Fun Thanks for voting Comments (2)
Report as
God didn't create evil. he created a perfect, beautiful angle, who wanted to over rule God. so he got kicked out of heaven. evil is Satan's creation. get it right.
Report as
Grow up ! and stop defending a situation you wasnt there to witness. God created the tree of good, & evil, also god cursed Adam, Eve, & the devil, all which is evil, im not saying god is evil, but if you stop trying so hard you will realize where all things originated from !!

From my understanding, evil is anything anti-creational. While God cannot sin, God is recorded as doing evil (or at least turning away from the evil he planned in direct contrast to not doing so with the flood). So Biblically, evil came when God first condemned man to be uncreated. The connotation that evil has today of being sinister does not come from God but rather comes from man who is not happy with the natural consequences of events in human history or in his personal history.

Yes, in that way it seems irrelevant to speak of evil coming "from" but rather an inexplicable state of anti-creation (ie. Denigration, destruction, ruin, de-facing, process of dying, etc.). To me it seems that what is conceivably be the "opposite" of God as in any void of God's will...this is what is evil. It doesn't come from anything since it is anti-thing. Sounds like what you are saying?
Report as
Not quite. The flood was evil, in the Biblical sense of the word. It clearly came from God.
Report as
Sure. It seems perhaps a semantical problem that the bible doesn't really hash out for us. We can in one sense say God "made" evil possible by the way He constructed the bounds of human existence...as a necessary negation of what is "directly" emanating (as revealed) from the Real God. The flood is evil because it represented a thoroughgoing denigration of humanity, thus ultimately being "anti-creation" as to it's reason for the flood being sent by God. Of course you are aware of the anthropomorphic mode of the bible as it describes the "actions" of God. It's really where theology and philosophy cross...I think anyways.

About 9,000 years ago or around there there was ONLY God. And He created everything. And he created a Angel and he was the pretiest of all the angels and he thought he should be In charge of eveything..so he tried to beet God. And Gos threw The pretty angel out to hell and made him ugly..and then when adam and eve sinned..

Evil came in the fallen angel Lucifer (whom we call by many names including 'devil' and 'satan') and his followers. It was allowed into the world when the first two humans chose to disobey God and give in to temptation to taste the forbidden fruit.

I completely agree with ItalianCharmer^^.

Evil is a choice that God allows us. No one and no Thing can make us cross that line...

Only by our own will.

I venture to say that evil doesn't come from anything because it is essentially "anti-thing", as in any void of God's will and activity. All things that came to be are "from" God...God is not evil...evil must not be of creation...it is any possible negation of it.

These are all reference to actions taken against direct sin. They may be darkness and punishments but not evil. God cannot be in the presence of evil.

So u say!! We just can't believe though!! Sorry.

Evil sprouts from the heart and minds of men. God is not responsible if you or I do something evil.

That's good question (Strawberry) and as you all know I'm a systematic bible teacher and my answers will only come from the Inspired holy writ. Turn with me in your bibles to (Isaiah14:12-16) and the question was asked" How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! If you look at verse 13 it says "For thou hast said in thine ((heart)), Now turn with me to (Ezekiel28:15,17) v.15 says "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou was created, till ((iniquity was found in thee.)) so as we can see it originated from the heart from the Devil. Now look at v.17 it says "Thine ((heart was lifted up)) because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom; so now let us turn to the new testament and continue of study on the origin of evil, turn to (St.John8:42-47) now look at v.44 in this verse Jesus tells you who is the author or originator or father of evil, he said " He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him, when he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: (((for he is a liar, and the (father) of it.))) So we can plainly see that the devil is the author of all evil and evil actions, now our last scripture is found in (1John3:8) and I quote " He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the (beginning). For this purpose was the son of God manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. ((((My dear friends it was a true honor and pleasure to share with you the word of God out of a spirit of love, my prayer is that you would allow the son of God to set you totally free from Satan's evil grip by his power and I also pray that the word was enlightening as well as a blessing to your souls. B.Wyatt God's servant.

I enjoyed your answer man of God thanks for bringing it back to my remembrance you brought me to Sunday school. Always love to refresh myself with another's interpretation of God's Word. Sometimes after spending so many years ministering in the street to ppl who don't know the Word and I have to paraphrase so much I forget what it's like sitting in a class filled with ppl who tear the Word apart to understand what God is really saying, it is so refreshing to my soul to be in the company of a scholar. Thank you again.

From within each and every one of us. Sometimes evil doings happen to work out better for some than others.

In the beginning, there was only the Holy Spirit of God that moved upon the Waters of Life, and Darkness covered it. God said "Let there be Light". It was spiritual light, not physical. THEN, God separated the Light from the Darkness. God separated that which was good from what was not good. However, when God created Heaven and all the hosts of it, they also had the knowledge of good and evil. So, evil had to have come from that separation of Light and Darkness, which became evil. The balance of this Universe exists in opposites, it's a universal law. So, when God created all that was "very good", it left a void, which Darkness cannot comprehend. So, evil came from the very beginning, when God SEPARATED Light from Darkness.
All those answers about Satan, remember, Lucifer WAS an angel of Light, so evil did not come "from" him, so to speak. It was found IN him.
Why are you asking such questions? Are you doing some kind of survey? (lol) 'Cuz you know a lot already. Who you playin' wif?

Thanks, just want to know peoples thoughts, make them think.

Sometimes, when you disagree with someone just to see if they really believe what they say they believe, you find out they don't know just what it is they DO believe. They believe because someone told them that's the way it is. It's really sad that so many Christians only believe what they're told and do no research on their own. If the Spirit within says, "Hey, that doesn't sound quite right", then look it up, go find God's face on your own. I know I am an outcast Christian because I don't conform to normal beliefs. But I feel I am enriched by what I have discovered outside the "norm". So many Christians are misled by false teachers. We were warned about them, but nobody seems to heed or even question what they are told. I love to go a little deeper than just an altar call. I want to know the "mysteries" of the kingdom of God. Too many churches and Christians just skim the surface of what God has to say. PS. no offense to my answer about Jesus being God. We all have our own path to walk, and I have faith that if I stray too far, Jesus will come get me, because He is my shepherd and I know His voice. Peace and Love.
