Can you get rid of a cavity by just brushing your teeth?

Report as

A cavity occurs where the enamel has weakened and bacteria have been able to damage your tooth. You can help prevent this by regular brushing and flossing, but once a cavity has formed, you need to see a dentist to essentially have the damaged part removed, the shape of the tooth restored, and the remaining healthy part of the tooth protected against further damage.

Yes, you can get rid of cavity by just brushing your teeth. Cavities are caused by bacteria inside the mouth and they thrive best when the mouth pH supports their survival. Regular brushing of teeth with toothpaste cleans the mouth and makes it difficult for the bacteria to survive. Check additional details on http://www.healthyteeth.org/cavities/cavities.html.

You can help prevent them by brushing but once you have one brushing will not make it go away or heal it. Go to the Dentist.

Once you have a cavity it's there until a dentist repairs it or pulls it.

If you do not see your dentist the cavity will deepen and eventually you will lose that tooth..brushing alone cannot get rid of a cavity...the decay has to be properly removed in order to restore your tooth to a healthy state...some cavities are not visible to the naked eye which is why a visit to your dentist at least twice a yr is important to maintain a healthy mouth..keep in mind it is not just your teeth a dentist checks...your gums play an important role in having healthy teeth.

No ounce you have a cavity it's there for good. Cavities are caused by not keeping your mouth and teeth clean. Best thing to do is to brush more often :p

No, you cannot get rid of cavities by just brushing your teeth. Prevention and treatment of cavities or tooth decay requires more than just brushing or flossing. First of all we should know that cavities are caused by deficiency of vital nutrients like vitamin D, calcium, phosphorus and other minerals in our diet. Absence of these minerals makes teeth weak and prone to cavities.
Therefore you should incorporate there nutrients in our diet by eating nutrient dense food like fish, raw grass fed milk, cheese, yogurt, bone broth, codliver oil among other food. I would recommend you read this book “Cure tooth decay” By Ramiel Nagel in which the author has stressed on the role of nutrition for prevention of tooth decay. He has given a diet plan which ensures the reversal of cavities. Many people have experienced remarkable improvement in their oral health after following the nutritional protocol given in this book. I highly recommend it to all those who are having cavities and are thinking of making a visit to a dentist. You can check this website http://www.curetoothdecay.com/
