How deep does water have to be for there to be sharks

Report as

Smaller sharks only need about a foot of water. Larger ones maybe 3 or 4 feet.

Size doesn't mean anything. I have seen millions of big sharks in shallow.

Water does not have to be very deep for one to find sharks because they can also be found in shallow water, but in rare cases. It is hard to determine the exact depth of water that sharks are found but an animal expert will be able to help you out.

My favorite subject that I study alot about! Sharks will be in very shallow water. I mean you can go out in knee deep or shallower than that. Alot of sharks breed at the surface. There's alot of food for them at the surface. Some shark species have their pups in the shallow. Wherever there is activity in the water than you might see a shark at!

Just for saftey! If you are in the water and you see one than be very still and calm. If one is attacking you than you hit them in the nose, stab them in the eye or/ in their gills and they will let loose of you.

Ok thanks soooo much

I've caught bull sharks in fresh water inlets in 2-4 inches, BULLS are the only shark that does that most sharks swim in salt or brackish water
