Help me! I just found a abandoned baby rabbit in my yard by itself! How do i take care of it?

Right now, its in a box and surrounded by towels and blankets. Ive read up on it but i still need help! Any information is great

You can keep the rabbit warm by wrapping on a towel and feeding it every three hours during the day. You can also fill the bottle with warm milk and give it to the rabbit to help it to stay strong and healthy. It's advisable to take the rabbit to a vet and have the necessary immunization.

I will eventually, but this one was found in my backyard alone and without a nest. The other sibling was unfortunately dead

Don't let it go. A fox will eat it.

If it is a bunny then you will need to purchase kitten formula from a pet store and a feeding syringe if it does not take to a kitten bottle. The baby will need to be fed every four to five hours I believe ( confirm with vet). The bunny should not be given solid foods yet. In the surroundings you should be fine with a soft towel and shredded newspaper. I recommend putting a stuffed bear that is the size of a regular rabbit in as well. I have raised a bunny to the point where it could be released back into the wild (Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn)

Maybe you could call a rabbit rescue! I'm sure there's one nearby! They can tell you how to take care of it or they can come & get it! Do not set it free, it'll be killed & eaten!
Bless you for trying to help!

If u want to take care of it. First u hit it cross the neck with cleaver. That will take care of head. Them cut off feet above the knees. That will take care of them. Then u cut down from neck to crotch the skin. Then peel off it should easily. That takes care of that. Set rabbit aside for min and start boiling some rice and take care of that. You get my point lmao

I found one as well and was told sugar water is what will sustain them until you get more info from a vet.
Warm and quite and safe spot is very important as well. Good luck.

Call a vet and ask them after you keep the rabbit warm and give him some water.
