Check your serpentine belt. It's one belt that turns everything with your engine including the power steering pump AND the water pump! DONT start your car till you fix this problem...overheating causes very serious and very expensive damage to any vehicle!

You need to check its entire cooling system. It appears its ability to absorb and move heat within the engine has decreased. Check whether the water jackets contain accumulated deposits or whether the thermostat is defective. Visit http://www.aa1car.com/library/overheat.htm for more details.
