There are different Ideas about what happened, Some people believe that the world has just always been there but some people think the big bang. Some people believe God created the world. I believe God did you have have to choose for yourself.

I really believe the grays terraformed the earth and then genetically engendered all things. The ball we all now call earth was formed from the remnants of the big bang though.
If no gods exist, it is possible aliens created the world through terraforming. I would lean more towards it being a natural phenommenon than the works of aliens though. Of course, this is only the "then" statement to your unlikely "if" statement.

No one can prove anything about creation. The big bang theory could he correct, god could be real, or maybe even aliens exist and created us on a rainy sunday. The fact of the matter is that none of us know anything about what happened billions of years ago before earth, people just believe in what they believe.

It depends on what your beleifs are. There is no concrete answer, and i dont think there ever will be. There are many many many therories in religion, science, and philisophy. The thing is that none of them can be prooved, and a lot of them cant be disprooved either. Either way if you follow your beliefs, when you die, if god isnt real... so what? you had a good life anyway. however if you go through life being hateful and mean.. if you die and there IS a god... well your screwed.

God was created by man for two reasons:
Control. the ten commandments, Koran, etc were all created as a way to establish law and control.
Knowledge: to explain things to enquiring minds when we didn't have science, or an easy way for parents to explain difficult stuff to kids until the education system caught up with the young minds.

Creationists say God did it because the bible says so, and others believe the big bang started it. There's no evidence to support either theory. We just have to accept that we do not know and that we can never know.
My own personal belief is that God did create the universe, and that he did it through the intentional creation of the laws of physics, i.e. the Big Band, or some other such force. I believe two things, One: God is all powerful, and two: God is omnipotent. It makes perfect sense in my mind that God could have used the big bang or some other method to usher the universe into existence. To me, God is the ultimate scientist.
Now for the non-religious answer. According to Philosophic principle, (whose name has merrily skipped out of my mind), "If it is possible for something to be false, no matter how probable that is is not so, then it must be discarded as such." If you are trying to logically think through the creation of the universe, then this is a very good principle to use. It is the principle that our justice system is based upon. If there is even a shadow of a doubt, or any chance something could be false, then it must be discarded. Look only at what cannot be false.

The truth is that God indeed exist. There are some mysterious things that can never be explained by science.
There are things that cannot be explained at the moment. It's a logical fallacy to decree that God did it though.
