How long should you rest you muscles after working out?

well there is a school of thought that says that a person can wait one week, if that person kept working out, in the days after... we liked this schedule/program a lot because you dont burn out as easy....Say you work out your delts on monday....you dont have to work your delts all the way until the following monday...but on tuesday you would do something like tricepts and quads...and again...you wouldn't work out your tricepts and quads until the following tuesday....This does work because any workout will usually activate what you worked on earlier, you can focus on each muscle, and the work out wont be as overwhelming this way and you would be able to keep working

Well my coach really changes things in football camp we just run and lift oh and I'm going to the 10th grade

48 hours between weight training sessions for muscle groups. You can work your whole body every other day, or upper body one day, lower the next, & keep alternating.
