tulio....your first concern is can your parents afford to buy you what you ask Give them a wish list with items that vary in price. No parent wants to feel the gift they buy their child in not appreciated if it is not expensive. If you give them them option of buying you a Cd or a DVD, as oppose to an expensive phone or iPod or a trip to Disneyland etc.. You see what I mean. Give them choices and you all will be winners. You have a car..You are pretty lucky! Not sure if your parents still have jobs to afford gifts like that,so the info I gave you might make sense. Only you know what your parents can afford or what they want to buy you. .When our daughter turned 16, we gave her a party at a sports bar..only serving juices ,soda etc, cake, and a DJ for music. Everyone was respectable and followed bar rules.Charparones were in attendance. HAPPY BIRTHDAY
I think you should ask them for some money to enable you go somewhere on a vacation to remember. There are also other many things you can ask as a birthday present, which include a new phone, a new laptop or an ipod.
You should ask them what they want. They have given you a roof over your head, food in your stomach, and chance at a good education if you take advantage of it. Ok, ask for a cake and you can choose the kind.
I'm sure you don't NEED anything but there is tons you WANT!! (Human nature) How about something in your college fund if you have one b/c if you're 16, it won't be long now...Or the usual stuff - money, car, phone, trip, etc...
