Season 6. LOST

I'm watching LOST and Im in season 6 and im so confused, please explain to me about the under water part you see right in the beginning of LOST season 6, episode 1

With the island underwater and the plane not crashing, they were supposed to get them to have never come to the island but it didn't. The scenes people see on the plane and it is not crashing are how the show ends.
