how are mountains eroded?

Report as

Mountains are most commonly eroded by weather elements, or by water.  Water flowing through or on the mountain causes erosion that changes the face of the mountain over a long period of time, boring holes and flattening and softening rocks. Weather factors like wind also change the surface of a mountain, and over long amounts of time actually change the landscape.
