how a rainbow is formed?

Report as

Rainbows are formed by an interaction between light from the Sun and rain drops.  Rain drops serve as prisms through which light is refracted.  These tiny little prisms serve as a color, and when enough light goes through each, a rainbow occurs. For more information on rainbows and their formation, see http://www.cord.edu/faculty/manning/physics215/studentpages/genamahlen.html.
