People have different beliefs. You get to choose yours. I get to choose mine. Live and let live, and leave divisive questions to die their death of boredom. No one owes you an explanation, which you will simply declare untrue anyway, and throw back in their face. Can we have one day on Ask without a religious war, thank you! Please find somewhere else for this Molotov cocktail. I'm tired of the explosions. If you are that sincerely curious, go to a local Christian church and ask the minister.
Misunderstanding the Trinity, people sometimes charge Christians with worshiping three gods. However, Christians believe that only one true God exists. Jesus taught that God is one, and Jesus taught that He was one with God (John 10:30). In response, the Jews picked up stones to stone Jesus because they thought He was guilty of blasphemy. Jesus is not a mere man claiming to be God. He is the Son of God in human flesh (John 10:36-38). The title "Son of God" does not mean Jesus was literally born from God. Pastor John MacArthur explains these verses: "Since a son bears his father's qualities, calling a person someone else's 'son' was a way of signifying equality." http://www.gotquestions.org/God-have-son.html
No offense, but I feel you are trying to make a point through a question; instead of asking a question. I can appreciate the need to debate these issues, but this site is not efficient for that. I believe a blog would better suit your needs. God bless
The operative word here is "think.". When it comes to a person's faith, they "believe." If you think Jesus was a prophet or the son of God, you're rationalizing. Look inside & find out what you truly believe & don't pretend to because someone told you to.
