It's simple. If you are waking up and you feel refreshed, then it is fine for you. If you feel like your sleep was "low quality" or leaves you needing more, then it is bad. But remember, most bad things that happen when you don't get enough sleep don't come directly from the lack of sleep, but rather from doing something foolish or getting hurt as a result of insufficient attention. Lack of sleep can also cause increased levels of stress, which can be harmful in multiple ways, including reduced immune system function, lower metabolism (which can contribute to being overweight, if you already have that problem), although extreme lack of sleep (which you are very, very unlikely to experience) will increase metabolism shortly before death. But no long-term damage is caused from lack of sleep alone.
The bottom line is, if you aren't tired when you wake up, you probably have enough sleep. Everyone is different.
It is a bit bad for your health, less sleep lowers your metabolism. I'm 15 & I only get 6 hours of sleep too ^,^|| I need more hours though, yet for me it's hard. For young people like us, we need about 8 or more hours of sleep. Then I think that'd be healthier. Hope this helps :3 <3
Persona from the age of 7-16 should get 8-10 hours of sleep per night, and its not positively hurting your health but yes it can hurt it by your body over working itself on not enough sleep that your body needs
Not asking/answering questions late at night and sports can help maintain a good sleep schedual as well as raise fittness lvl. Btw I am 15 and an athlete/brainy teenage. I say 8 to 10 hrs the more the marrier
i actually remember hearing something about this in my high school science class children need alot of sleep like 10 hours teens only need about 5 to 6 hours adults need about 8 hours and elderly only need like 3 to 4 hours so if getting 6 hours a night then ur fine but the best way to tell is if u feel rested then ur good to go and it wont ever be harmful to ur health unless u feel like rediculously overly tired everyday then ur definatly not getting enough and it can affect ur health
