My dad just got fired because his boss said he was too nice. How did this happen?

My dad just started working as a sales man in a car industry. With so many experiences through the past years. And suddenly, for being "too nice" he got fired. WHY? Am I the only one who's thinking that this is a STUPID reason? I'm serious and I think it's their lost.

Hi, there. I know you feel bad for your dad. Getting fired is a real blow to the ego. Selling cars is a highly competitive business that often requires aggressive, and slightly "unethical", persuasive sales tactics. Salesman have a quota. If it isn't met, you're out the door. Not everyone has the right personality for that type of job. Your dad will ultimately find a better place for his talents and abilities. The best thing you can do is remind him what a great dad he is. Best wishes to you all.

There are various laws and regulations that act as a guiding principle for the hiring and firing employees in each and every company. It could be possible that your father's polite and humble or nicety was actually hurting the employer's or company's operation. Visit an attorney for more professional advice.

If he was fired within 90 days, they don't have to give a reason. Perhaps "too nice" means he was being too generous in trade in values or negotiating the price of the car too low and that affects their bottom line.

Your dad should not be fired for being nice thats crazy your dads boss is cococococo in the head
