obvious and intentional exaggeration.
an extravagant statement or figure of speech not intended to be taken literally, as “to wait an eternity.”

A hyperbole is a gross exaggeration for example, "Her hair was silk." meaning her hair was very soft. Hope this helped. Thanks!

Something that is very exaggerated! Such as: "my back is killing me" or "the teachers gave me a thousand pieces of homework" (I think that one is true...haha)
